LASH LOVE
Lash extensions are one of my favourite treatments! A lot of people ask me questions on a daily basis how do I look after my lashes, so I thought I would do a little blog to help give knowledge you need to know before you book your lash appointment.
What are the different lash services I offer?
Classic Lashes: One false lash applied to one of your lashes. Timings: Full set: 1 Hour 30 Minutes Infill: 45 mins-1 hour
Russian Lashes: Multiple of handmade fan lashes applied to one of your lashes to create the illusion of a fuller lash. Timings: Full Set: Around 2 Hours 30 Minutes Infill: 1 hour
Hybrid Lashes: A Mixture of both Russian and Classic Lashes great for clients that don't want a super full look. Timings: Full set: Around 1 hour 45 minutes Infill: 1 hour
Lash Lift: A lash lift creates the illusion of your own natural lash to look longer. Lifting the lash and applying tint to give extra darkness. Timing: 45 minutes
When do I need an infill?
An infill depends on your lash growth, everyones lashes cycles are different at different times of the year. You may lose more lashes one appointment more than the next due to your lashes going through a shedding phase. This is totally normal just like our dogs malt so do we as humans. I would advise to get an infill between 2-3 weeks. After 3 weeks you will need a full set.
How do I look after my lashes?
It's important not to get your lashes wet for 24 hours after your appointment as the glue is still drying
Do not touch your lashes with your fingers as the natural oils on your fingers will effect the glue.
Brush them daily with clean spooly
Washing: Lashes are just like your hair they need washing, if you do not wash them you could get eye mites. Use an eyelash cleaner with a brush or spooly whilst brushing through your lashes, I normally do this 2-3 times a week.
How do I remove my lashes?
Do not pull your lashes out as it will ruin your natural lash. I would advise you come back to visit me and I will happily remove them for you. If you would like to do it on your own you can buy lash remover or use oil to remove.
Do lashes ruin your own natural lashes?
Individual lashes do not ruin your lashes if you follow the aftercare advise. It is vital not to pull or play with your lashes as this causes damage!
Do I need a patch test?
Prior to your appointment you’ll need a patch test at-least 24hour before your appointment. This will ensure you are not allergic to the products I use. Although some people may be okay with the service for months then develop an allergy. If this happens you must seek medical advise asap.
