Hey beautiful brides firstly I would like to say a huge thank you to everyone who previously chosen me to be their makeup artist for their big day. I have truly enjoyed every trial, wedding morning with you all.
For my future brides that have booked their wedding with me i’d like to say a huge thank you too. I can’t wait for your big day. If you have had to postpone your wedding due to Corona virus i can Assure you the wait will make it is even more special.
Your Wedding Day is possibly the most special day of your life. Therefore; you need to look the best you ever have, and feel the best you ever have. So here is a little blog to help you get the most out of your trial.
Do I Need A Bridal Makeup & Hair Trial?
I would recommend you 100% have a trial a month or so before your wedding. This will ensure you are 100% happy with your hair and makeup. It also gives us chance to get to know each other. I love to find out what your styles are and what you have planned for the big day so I can personalise your makeup and hair to you.
What do I need to do prior to my bridal trial?
This is a question I get asked a lot and its so important that you study what kind of look you like the best.
Prepare your skin - The night before have a pamper - scrub your dead skin cells away, apply a face mask and hydrate your face. This will help your makeup sit on your skin better. In the morning of your appointment cleanse, tone & moisture as usual.
Pintest - Create a wedding makeup and hair board. You can pin all your favourite looks and which then makes it easy to narrow it down. Bring your inspirations with you and then I can advise you what I think would look best depending on your skin tone and hair texture.
Arrive to your appointment - No need to wear makeup to your appointment I will be making you glamours.
Pictures - Have pictures to hand what you would normally wear your makeup like. I also love to see images of your dress and styling of venue so we are on the same lines.
Lip Stick - I have hundreds of lip sticks to choose from but unfortunately whilst drinking they rub off which will happen during your big day. If I am not staying with you for the full day for makeup top ups I would recommend you purchasing your own lipstick. You can do this prior to your appointment or after if we have found one of mine you love. My favourite look is a stain with a gloss over the top.
Hair Pieces - Are you have a beautiful tera, pretty pins or hair piece? Please bring it with you as a lot of these need to be tested to make sure you like how they sit in your hair.
